Each of our classrooms on campus are carefully arranged to support children driven, developmentally appropriate play. Children will transition throughout their environment with confidence and security. Our teachers are continually zoning their classrooms and are able to monitor the entire area. Throughout the children's day they will participate in the following activities: Breakfast, Greeting, Small Group, Music, Lunch, Large Group, Rest Time, PM snack, Choice time, and Outside Time.
Throughout the day, our staff will provide real-time updates to the Lillio app.. Through the Lillio app. you have the ability to view vital information such as when and what your child ate, details about their diaper changes, how long they slept and some of their daily activities. You will also be able to message our classroom staff anytime through the Lillio app.
We follow the HighScope Preschool Curriculum in all four of our classrooms. The HighScope Preschool Curriculum is focused on active learning. Active learning is natural and occurs through the children's play and interactions with the world around them. Teachers scaffold children's play, encourage children, and communicate with children verbally and nonverbally. Teachers also take a problem solving approach to situations and always model appropriate behaviors, language, and actions.
Each day children will go outside, weather permitting. Our outdoor area is fenced in on the east side of the center.
We eat family style! Children and staff gather together within their classrooms and share meals. Staff model appropriate table manners and behaviors along with fostering independence with meal time activities.
Each classroom has access to a child size bathroom that allows for privacy and supervision. There are multiple changing stations that provide a safe and smooth changing transition. Families are responsible for suppling their child's diapers, wipes, creams, and lotions.
The location for drop off and pick up will be provided at orientation. Family members are encouraged to provide information to our staff regarding their child's night, morning and any information that you feel we should know. Updates can also be shared by using the Lillio app. or verbally. When you arrive to pick up your child, our staff will be available to provide you with an update on your child's day. Updates are also provided through the Lillio app.
